Hi Flipside, since I think I will be getting a board from you, maybe you or someone else would want to make a bid on that used board for your collection? Curious to hear what are your thoughts on it. On the other hand, who knows, maybe it is even already sold. Read More...
Oh Hi! Thank you for remembering! Glad you found me. The Campaign kickplates seem fine; it was the straight edges of the Nomad kickplates that weren't for me.
I wonder why the graphics on Dimension boards were changed over the years. Were they moving toward marketing to a younger demographic? The Highland boards seem to have better graphics overall, except for the enormous Highland logo on the bottom of a few of them. Of course, performance is the most important concern, though.
I think the Nomad bar of the original board had a 52cm stance, which they shortened by one cm for the renegade. I don't suppose that would make a big effect for a beginner though, would it?
Anyway, what does everyone think about the different graphics and aesthetics of the current streetboards? Please share! Read More...
I would get a Nomad but I don't like the graphics or the way the plate edges aren't round. I much prefer the more mellow and mature look of the blue and white Nomad 'old school' from the early 2000's before the Renegade adopted the 'x-treme' look. It only got worse from there with the latest model. Where can I get the old blue and white Nomad?
Alternatively, is it worth getting the Highland Click (48cm stance) in the plain natural finish, or is that board too small for a guy 5'3" ? Read More...
You can check out some vids of it on youtube. Retails for $150. Seems pricey for what you get. It looks to be, in the essence of its movement mechanics, a snakeboard with two hubless wheels. This design might be slower though. Someone even reviewed it saying it isn't for long distances (on amazon). I'm torn between thinking it looks kind of cool and that it looks like sticking your feet into renaissance era prisoner stocks. Read More...
Hi I found this used one for sale in Argentina for 500 pesos, which is about US $120. Bindings for another 60 pesos. (It seems like the Argentinian ebay or craigs.) It is the starter model and looks a bit worn. He put on longboard wheels as well. Nothing written about the international shipping as far as I could tell. What do you all think? I'm in the US, though, and I guess the shipping to the US would probably be pretty hefty.
