I would get a Nomad but I don't like the graphics or the way the plate edges aren't round. I much prefer the more mellow and mature look of the blue and white Nomad 'old school' from the early 2000's before the Renegade adopted the 'x-treme' look. It only got worse from there with the latest model. Where can I get the old blue and white Nomad?
Alternatively, is it worth getting the Highland Click (48cm stance) in the plain natural finish, or is that board too small for a guy 5'3" ? |

I am the same the Nomad kinda puts me of with the edges, but the size bar seems more to my liking.
I have sergi plates with a warlord bar, it's heavy tank mofo!! |

Joel,
I haven't forgotten about you. It's just been hectic. The Nomad board has never changed, except for the graphics. You could always get a Nomad and give it your own custom paint job. The Click/Dragon boards are really meant for little kids. They are tiny. And they have completely flat footplates. Do you like the shape of the Campaign footplates? |

Oh Hi! Thank you for remembering! Glad you found me. The Campaign kickplates seem fine; it was the straight edges of the Nomad kickplates that weren't for me.
I wonder why the graphics on Dimension boards were changed over the years. Were they moving toward marketing to a younger demographic? The Highland boards seem to have better graphics overall, except for the enormous Highland logo on the bottom of a few of them. Of course, performance is the most important concern, though. I think the Nomad bar of the original board had a 52cm stance, which they shortened by one cm for the renegade. I don't suppose that would make a big effect for a beginner though, would it? Anyway, what does everyone think about the different graphics and aesthetics of the current streetboards? Please share! |
